Happy New Year!
Last year, SkyHobbit celebrated its 16th anniversary, and we were able to hold a commemorative event in August. While 16 years may seem like an arbitrary milestone, in the IT industry, 16 holds significance as a key figure in hexadecimal representation, making it a fitting occasion for celebration. We deeply appreciate the support of our partner companies and everyone who has been involved with SkyHobbit over the years.
Looking back on the past year, we are pleased to have continued providing stable technical services to our long-term clients. Through cloud infrastructure construction leveraging IaC (Infrastructure as Code), we believe we were able to contribute to our clients’ success.
Additionally, our participation in the Technology Book Fair allowed us to publish a book on network monitoring, fulfilling our long-standing goal of contributing to the technical community. This was a meaningful achievement for us.
In research and development, our Go AI achieved remarkable results by entering the A-League and ranking 8th in the world at the 16th UEC Cup. This was a feat we once thought impossible, but with unexpected fortune and effort, we were able to accomplish it. This success reinforced the value of not only using AI but also being a creator and provider of AI technology.
In the IT industry, the rapid advancement of AI continues to reshape how people work and approach system operations. While generative AI greatly improves efficiency in system construction and maintenance, it also raises questions about the role and significance of human involvement.
The Go industry, which reached a singularity eight years ago, has since then seen humans explore ways to utilize AI, and as a result, the overall Go playing ability of humans has improved, and the ways to enjoy Go have diversified. However, as the history of Go AI demonstrates, we think that the coexistence and collaboration between AI and humans can lead to the creation of greater quality and value.
This year, we will continue to take on the challenge of creating a better future by focusing on cloud infrastructure construction, system operations and maintenance, contributions to open source, and application development. We sincerely ask for your continued support and patronage in the year ahead.
